2010 Coronation Ball

Saturday, March 13th at 7:00 p.m.

The 89th Annual Coronation Ball will be held on Saturday, March 13th at the Renaissance Vinoy Hotel.

The Coronation Ball is the Suncoasters annual black tie gala featuring exquisite food and entertainment and includes the Coronation of Mr. or Ms. Sun, the recognition of the Junior Sungoddess and her court and the crowing of the Sungoddess.

The ball raises funds to support the Suncoasters commitment to education in Pinellas County. Each year The Suncoasters and the Festival of States donate up to $30,000 to area schools and students through the Sungoddess and Junior Sungoddess Scholarship Programs and by providing financial support for the All County Musicfest and the Scholastic Art & Writing Programs.

Tickets for the event are $100 per person for active members of the Suncoasters and $175 per person for all non-members. Tickets are available by calling the Festival Office at 727-821-9888.

2010 Royalty Reception

Again this year, a Royalty Reception will be held prior to the Coronation Ball at 6:00 p.m. to honor all former Sungoddesses, and Mr. or Ms. Suns as well as other local Royalty. The Royalty Reception is hosted by the 2010 Executive Committee and is an invitation-only event.

All former Sungoddesses and Mr./Ms. Sun's should contact the Festival of States office to provide your current mailing address.

The Festival of States produces events in celebration of St. Petersburg’s legacy and future, to be enjoyed by the total community, and to raise money for schools in art and music programs and scholarships. This event is sponsored by the Suncoasters, Inc. in partnership with the City of St. Petersburg and other organizations.
